Lonely Planet review for Pascucci

Don't let the sight of tourists deter you from palazzo-style Pascucci. Despite occasionally spotty service, locals love the filling pastas, pizzas and paninis here, not to mention the bargain prices. For a taste of Italian heaven, try the Bellagio: smoked chicken, mushroom, red onions and sun-dried tomatoes in a roasted garlic-parmesan cream sauce over bowtie pasta. Sit at the bar for the quickest service.

    Could of been better

I wasn't too impressed with the food at Pascucci though I have heard ranting reviews about the place. They had OKAY food, but for the price I thought I would of gotten something more tasty. The garlic bread was really good though, I'll give them that. Good service, very attentive staff, and the location is pristine, right on State Street. I don't see myself coming here again the next time I am in town. A great place to stay while you're in Santa Barbara is the Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). Super inexpensive and it is beyond worth it!
