This smart hotel in the centre of downtown Santa Barbara has a breezy, sophisticated cool that's as charming as the city itself. Green travellers embracing the city's Car Free, Carefree campaign have it easy here - the hotel enjoys eco-friendly accessibility to the beach, shuttles, historic downtown, and the Amtrak station.
This 74-room hotel adds a dash of snazzy flair to the white stuccoed, red-tile uniform required of Santa Barbara's downtown properties. It has a snappy green awning, and a bright, made-for-lounging lobby, and colorful rooms. Though close to some of downtown's liveliest bars, it's not a party hotel and is relatively quiet excluding occasional street noise.
