Santa Barbara Sailing Center will take you sailing on the Double Dolphin, a 50ft sailing catamaran, for around US$35. One child, age 12 and under, is free with each paid adult. If you want to pilot your own craft, the center also rents paddleboats, motorboats, fishing boats and sailboats. In season they offer whale-watching too.

    Whale Watching!!

    I had such a wonderful time whale watching with the Sailing Center on the Double Dolphin! Such an amazing experience. There were so many dolphins and sea lions/otters and of course whales! It was a good way to spend the afternoon. They offer food on board and I recommend you wear a jacket because it gets a bit could out there on the open ocean! I am so glad I found this place when I was in town, it was a great way to spend the end of my fabulous vacation in town. My hotel actually recommended it. The Sandman Inn (www.thesandmaninn.com). So affordable and they really know what is what in town! Well worth it!
