So many posts request the impossible - that a bunch of people who have never met you magically intuit how much you have to spend and what will make you happy on vacation, generally planning out your route for three months and helping you get discount flight reservations.
So, what can you do to get great travel advice?
1. Do your homework
The web is filled with basic information like how far it is from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon, or how…
So I'm an Aussie exchange student studying in Washington! As a celebration of my freedom on spring break I want to organize a road trip to Yellowstone. I should have around 2 weeks for a round trip. Wondering if anybody has recommends about travelling the best route, (would love to make it as cheap as possible) any car hire companies and possible stops and sights along the way! I don't mind detours if it includes beautiful parts of the great outdoors! How many days do you think is…
Following up on a prior post -- any lodging recommendations for a 3-day, 3-night coastal drive from LA (actually, Pasadena) to SF? One night each in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Cruz, or thereabouts in each case. Family of 4, teen kids, up to $300/night if worthwhile, more possible if called for. Early August, weekdays.
I'm planning a three week road trip in September/October and I would really appreciate any advice or critique of my itinerary.
I'll fly into and out of LAX and will stay with my sister in LA (Santa Monica) for three days before and six days after the road trip and hope to fit in a visit to San Diego in that time.
I'll be doing the road trip by myself (I'm 27 years old btw) so I've tried to be careful not planning on too much driving each day plus incorporating a few days with no driving at…
We're headed to Kauai in a short while, and we're looking for anyone on the island who rents Kauai Cruisers. Back in the day on Maui, there was a guy in Kahalui who rented Maui Cruisers, i.e. older, everyday cars with normal wear and tear. That is, not bright and shiny brand new Jeeps or convertibles. Does anyone know if someone on Kauai runs a similar business?
Would appreciate some help. Tomorrow morning I'm arriving to mobile with greyhound, and it looks like the station is not so close to the center of the city. I checked for buses, but couldn't find none. Any advice how to get to the city center cheap? Besides walking. Will be staying just for a day, because I'm catching bus to Lafayette the same day.
Thanks a lot for help.
