Getting there & away
Greyhound (831-424-4418; cnr Gabilan & Salinas Sts) has several daily runs to Santa Cruz and on Hwy 101 north to San Francisco and south to Los Angeles.
Amtrak (11 Station Pl at Railroad Ave) has a daily service on the Seattle-LA Coast Starlight as well as several daily buses connecting with regional train services in San Jose and Santa Barbara.
MST bus 20 makes the 50-minute run to/from Monterey every 30 to 60 minutes. The Salinas Transit Center is one block west of the Steinbeck Center and two blocks south of the Amtrak station.
