Lonely Planet review
In a grand Victorian mansion, this hostel offers impressive trimmings at rock-bottom prices. It’s within walking distance of the capitol, Old Sac and the train station and has a piano in the parlor and large dining room. It attracts an international crowd often open to sharing a ride to San Francisco or Lake Tahoe.
Our independent authors have visited HI Sacramento and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Sacramento.
Description provided by property
Step back in time at HI-Sacramento, a beautifully restored Victorian mansion in the heart of California’s state capital. The hostel boasts elegant parlors, private and shared bedrooms full of period details, a new fully equipped guest kitchen, a private outdoor patio, and a new game room.
