Introducing Reno
Reno is the kind of place where you can feast your eyes on great art, your palate on tasty French food and your ears on catchy jazz. You can sip a cabernet or slurp a steamy latte in artsy cafés steps away from kayakers doing battle with rapids in the chilly Truckee River. Then you can enjoy a stress- melting massage in a classy spa before retiring to your boutique hotel room.

Wait a minute! Reno? Las Vegas’ little lowbrow cousin? Yup, there’s a new Reno in the making that goes far beyond the aging casinos and tacky, neon-lined streets. It’s still a little rough around the edges, but there’s an undeniable vibrancy in this northern Nevada town a mere half-hour’s drive from Lake Tahoe. Pockets of hipness are emerging throughout the ‘Arts District’ with edgy galleries, bars and cafés that wouldn’t look out of place in LA or San Francisco. A busy festival and events schedule and frequent A-lister concerts also contribute to this renaissance. The self-proclaimed ‘biggest little city in the world’ may finally be coming of age.
