The local yuppies favor this lively hangout that got play in Po Bronson's novel The First 20 Million is Always the Hardest. You can get pizza, sandwiches and sturdy meat-and-potato platters on the shady patio and wash it down with something from the 25 taps.

    Good Food, Medium Price

    This is a wonderful, small place to eat with a slight Italian flare. It's more toward the high end of midrange prices, but well worth it. If the weather's nice, sit outside and enjoy the air. Even if it's little chilly, they bring out heat lamps to keep everyone warm. Sometimes it gets a little crowded, so go a little early or expect to be on the waiting list. Outside is great for large groups. Inside are booths and a bar area.
