Lonely Planet review
This state-park lodge sprawls by sand dunes in pine forest. Skip ho-hum motel rooms and opt for historic houses designed by early-20th-century architect Julia Morgan (of Hearst Castle fame) – the thin-walled, hardwood-floored rooms may be small, but share a fireplace lounge. Head to the lodge lobby for ping-pong and pool tables and wi-fi. Bike rentals available.
Our independent authors have visited Asilomar Conference Grounds and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Pacific Grove.
