Like a plain Jane living near the docks, the Pacific Inn gets the suitors simply because she's there. And 'there' is a busy street - it's a very good place for this 71-room, nothing-fancy inn that's two blocks from downtown and three from the beach.
Her best asset is the sun-splashed central pool. Tucked out of sight of the street, it's a prime place to build your base tan before hitting the sand. A small cabana-style tent and a few plastic lounge chairs are also provided. Coral-colored rooms are slightly bigger than average, if in need of a little TLC. Complimentary perks include wi-fi, parking and a continental breakfast with Danishes, muffins and cereal. But who's hanging around the hotel room in Seal Beach? Rent beach cruisers downstairs, or wander down to the beach to watch the kite surfers. Better yet, check out one of the awesome Main Street restaurants - from the scrumptious breakfast burritos scarfed down at Nick's deli, to the famed fine seafood savored at Walt's Wharf, you certainly won't leave hungry.
