    Pride of place goes to this three-story white concrete hotel, at the north end of Main Beach. Its 70 keen rooms were recently renovated with rattan furniture, blond woods, marble, French blinds and thick featherbeds. Some have balconies overlooking the water. Extras include DVD and CD players, bathrobes, beach gear to borrow and nightly ocean-view wine and beer reception.

    Nestled on a cliff overlooking the ocean, this Laguna Beach hotel is 5 minutes’ walk from Main Beach Park. A wine reception is hosted each evening. Each guest room includes beach chairs and umbrellas.
