Getting there & around
From the west, Kings Canyon Hwy (Hwy 180) travels 53 miles east from Fresno to the Big Stump Entrance. Coming from the south, you’re in for a long 46-mile drive through Sequoia National Park along sinuous Generals Hwy. Budget about two hours’ driving time from the Ash Mountain Entrance to Grant Grove Village. The road to Cedar Grove Village is only open from around April or May until the first snowfall.
