Getting there & away
Gold Country Stage (530-477-0103; www.goldcountrystage.com) links Grass Valley with Nevada City at least hourly from 7am to 5pm and serves the Amtrak station in Auburn several times a day (fares $1 to $5). The stop is near the post office on E Main St.
