Golden Canyon Interpretive Trail information
A few miles south of Furnace Creek, a self-guided interpretive trail winds for 1 mile through Golden Canyon to the oxidized iron cliffs of Red Cathedral . With a good sense of orientation, you can keep going up to Zabriskie Point, for a hardy 4-mile round-trip. To get to the Golden Canyon trailhead, park in the lot 2 miles south of Hwy 190 on Badwater Rd.
