Getting around

Public transport and your feet are the best options for getting around crowded central Berkeley. For instance, walking from the downtown Berkeley BART station to Telegraph Ave takes about 10 minutes.

AC Transit operates public buses in and around Berkeley. UC Berkeley’s Bear Transit (510-642-5149) runs a shuttle from the downtown BART station to various points on campus (50¢). From its stop at the Hearst Mining Circle, the H Line runs along Centennial Dr to the higher parts of the campus ($1).
