Getting there & around

Airport Bus of Bakersfield (800-858-5000, 805-395-0635; 2530 F St) runs a shuttle seven times daily between Bakersfield and LAX ($27, 2½ hours).
Golden Empire Transit (GET; 661-869-2438; fares 75?) is the local bus system. Route 2 runs north on Chester Ave to the Kern County Museum and Oildale.
