It is with intended irony that the notorious Charles Street Jail has been converted into the luxurious Liberty Hotel. Today, the spectacular lobby soars under a 90ft ceiling. Guest rooms boast floor-to-ceiling windows with amazing views of the Charles River and Beacon Hill, not to mention luxurious linens and high-tech amenities such as LCD televisions and iPod docking stations.
