Just south of the city, in the Blue Hills Reservation, this small ski area offers a quick and easy snow holiday for urbanites. Sixty acres of skiable terrain includes 10 different ski runs – three of which are black diamonds. Rental is available ($28 for skis or a snowboard), as are lessons. It’s probably not the highest or steepest mountain you will ever ski, but it is the closest to Boston.
