An elegant lobby with chandelier, stone fireplace and plush leather chairs is designed to take travelers back to the romance of train travel, but the rooms are basic upscale roadside hotel. It's spacious and comfortable, and centrally located, with a glass-enclosed indoor pool.
Packages that include one-night accommodation and round-trip train to the South Rim start at $210. Other packages include accommodation at the South Rim's Maswik Lodge. Pets are not allowed, but the hotel operates the modern Railway Pet Resort.
