Getting there & away
The ferry MV Le Conte stops at Tenakee Springs roughly once a week, connecting it to Hoonah and Juneau northbound and to Angoon and Sitka (and occasionally Kake and Petersburg) southbound. Study the ferry schedule carefully to make sure you don't have to stay in town longer than you want. The one-way fare from Tenakee Springs to Juneau or Sitka is $31.
Wings of Alaska (Juneau 789-0790, Tenakee Springs736-2247; www.wingsofalaska.com) flies daily to/from Juneau (one way/round-trip $90/170). Alaska Seaplane Service (789-3331 in Juneau, 888-350-8277; www.akseaplanes.com) has scheduled service six days a week (each way $90).
