The town's best coffeehouse; accessed through either Old Harbor Books on Lincoln St or through the…you guessed it…which is off Barracks St. The cruise-ship hordes parading endlessly down Lincoln St can't immediately see it so they go elsewhere. As a result, the small place is full but not packed, and it's as local as it gets. The pleasant young staff members serve an eclectic clientele with a menu that includes great baked goods, bagel sandwiches and excellent high-octane espresso drinks.

    When I walk in, I hear the "Cheers" theme song...

    edgyvegie does not recommend this,
