Lonely Planet review
This historic hotel is very Alaskan, a bit stinky and a decent splurge depending on your tastes. The historic wing has low-slung ceilings, smallish rooms and will give you the sense of living in a fisherman's flophouse. The deluxe rooms in the new wing have expansive views, and some even come with fireplaces.
In all, it feels a bit rundown, but you'll love the taxidermi.
