Soak up the beauty of the USA’s frontier state, a wilderness playground that abounds with towering glaciers, emerald green forests and unique wildlife. Get up close and personal with some classic Alaskan Highlights, from soaring peaks, crumbling icebergs and massive national parks to modern cities, gold rush towns and remote highways. Spend a night in a cosy log cabin, admire the Mt McKinley on the horizon and get off the beaten track in this beautiful part of the world. For those short on time, the Alaskan Highlights adventure is a great way to experience a slice of life in America’s most remote state.

Itinerary

Days 1-2 Anchorage/Kenai Fjords National Park
Snow-capped peaks frame Anchorage, a frontier city that looks out onto icy waters and is surrounded by stunning wilderness and alpine parks. Home to the massive Harding Icefield, the captivating Kenai Fjords National Park is dominated by ice-blue glaciers, pristine waters and countless species of wildlife and plants.
Days 3-4 Valdez
The town of Valdez may be small in size, but it's enormous in stature with its importance as an oil and fishing town and its gorgeous surrounds.
Days 5-6 Wrangell-St Elias National Park
This impressive national park features four major mountain ranges, chains of glaciers and extensive icefields.
Day 7 Alaska Range
Enjoy the stunning Alaska Range from the comfort of a simple lodge.
Days 8-9 Denali National Park
Throw together epic glaciers, endless tundra, glassy lakes, wild animals and the tallest mountain in North America and you have Alaska's beautiful Denali National Park.
Day 10 Anchorage
Anchorage, although not the state capital, is home to 40% of Alaska’s population and is the gateway to more than 40 wilderness parks.
