Car

Another option is to rent a car in Ketchikan and take it over on the ferry. Rates for the ferry are based on vehicle length; a subcompact one way is $34. You can also rent a car on the island through Wilderness Rent-A-Car (800-949-2205, Craig 826-5200, Klawock755-2691) for $89 a day with unlimited mileage.

Taxi

POW Ferry Shuttle (957-2224) connects with ferries in Hollis but you will want to give them a call from Ketchikan to reserve a seat. One-way fare to Craig is $20. There are several other taxi companies on POW, including Jackson Cab (755-2557) in Klawock.

The one-way fare to carry a bike over on the ferry is $11, or you can rent one in Klawock.
