Getting there & around
MASCOT (376-5000; www.matsutransit.com; single ride/day pass $2/5) Created in 1999, the Mat-Su Community Transit system makes six trips daily between Wasilla and Palmer and three commuter runs from the Valley to the Transit Center in Anchorage. If staying in Anchorage you can use the bus for a cheap day trip to Palmer. All buses stop at Carrs.
Alaska Cab (746-2727) and Mat-Su Taxi (373-5861) both provide service around town, as well as to Wasilla ($20) and Anchorage ($70).
