You can also purchase a round-trip ticket from Anchorage with stopovers in both Nome and Kotzebue for around $530. From Fairbanks to Kotzebue, you can travel with Frontier Flying Service (450-7200, 800-478-6779; www.frontierflying.com) five days a week for about $380 return.
If you need a cab, B&D Taxi (442-2244) can get you there for $3.
