Hi there, I wanted to inquire to see if anyone knew of anyone who has spent time living with the Lakota people of North America? I am looking to experience their traditional way of life and learning their customers by spending time living amongst them. I'm from Australia and am interested in studying their culture as part of my studies in anthropology tribal cultures.

What I'm looking for is an immersion into their culture (anywhere from 3 - 6 months, not a day tour or visiting a reservation…

Thanks for reading my post. I have looked through previous posts in this forum and tried to do as much research i could.

I'm a solo male traveller who likes nightlife, nature, action / adventure.I try to avoid museums and historical places. My parent are arriving on an international flight at chicago (ORD), Terminal 5. Is it possible for me to go to the baggage claim area and wait for them for picking up their luggage. They are old and it will be very difficult for them to pick up the baggage on their own. For domestic arrivals, we can go till the baggage claim without any issues. Is the same allowed for international also, OR is the baggage for international flights always before the Customs with no access to the general…

We will be reaching Anchorage on Sunday around 2 pm and leaving on Saturday late night from Anchorage, we have 6 and a half days only. I haven't read much about Alaska and confuse about what to see, where to go, ho to go etc.. but our priorities are Denali Park (full day), 1 Day cruise for glacier, glass top train ride, dog sledding and any recommended sight scenes. I think I can take glass train from Anchorage to Denali or Anchorage to Seward but how do I manage other transportation? Can I…

I have a 19 hour stopover at Los Angeles coming up, from 7 am to 2 am. I'm aware of all the "tourist sights" eg. Walk of Fame, Chinese theater, Venice Beach etc, all of which I fully intend on seeing. Any recommendations for some of the not so well known places to go? Markets, museums, cafes, beaches, beautiful graffiti art, anything really. And any tips on getting around using public transport? Thanks!
