The grand dame of Juneau's luxury hotels. The Baranof has been anchoring Franklin St since 1939 and during the legislative session a lot of political posturing takes place at the back tables of its lounge and restaurant. Rooms tend to be small and not overly impressive considering what you're paying. But snag one on the 8th or 9th floor and it's almost worth it.
Note that Juneau tacks on 12% in bed and sales taxes to the price of lodging.
