Spaulding Trail is primary use for cross-country skiing, but can be hiked in the summer. The 3-mile route provides access to the Auke Nu Trail, which leads to the John Muir Cabin. The trailhead is off Glacier Hwy just past and opposite Auke Bay Post Office, 12.3 miles northwest of Juneau.
