Beluga Lake Lodge Bar & Grill
There are big windows overlooking the lake, a wonderful deck, and lots of live music at this bar & grill. When we were there, patrons were tapping their toes to the country-inflected tunes of Atz Kilcher - father of local-girl-turned-pop-star Jewel.

Salty Dawg Saloon
The bumper sticker says it all: 'Homer, Alaska: A quaint drinking village with a fishing problem.' Maybe the most storied bar on the Kenai Peninsula, the Salty Dawg is one of those places that's famous for being famous. In the evenings every square foot of its wood shaving-laden floor is packed with tourists singing along to sea shanties, rubbing elbows with the occasional fisherman and paying 50% more for beer than they would elsewhere in town. The lighthouse tower atop the whole party, visible from anywhere in town, stays lit during opening hours.
