Even if you don't want to drive or paddle to Eagle, you have a couple of options for getting here.
Yukon Queen II (867-993-5599, 800-544-2206; one-way/return $90/180) Operated by Holland America, this 110-passenger tour boat plies the river between Eagle and Dawson City, covering the 102-mile distance at 35 knots - and irritating many local boaters, who complain of swamped vessels and disturbed fishing nets.
Everts Air Alaska (450-2350; tatondukflying.com) Flies to Eagle most days of the week from Fairbanks.
