Getting there & away
From the VAC inside the park, Alaska/Yukon Trails (800-770-7275; www.alaskashuttles.com) bus departs for Anchorage ($65, six hours) and Fairbanks ($53, three hours).
The Alaska Railroad (907-265-2494, 800-544-0552; www.akrr.com) departs from a depot near Riley Creek campground; it’s expensive (Anchorage $135, Fairbanks $59) but very scenic.
