Lonely Planet review
In a beautiful setting on Eyak Lake, 2 miles east of town on Lake Ave, with a nice gravel beach and a woodstove, this one-room cabin can be booked through the Bidarki Recreation Center. There are no bunks, but a few tables and chairs, so bring your sleeping pad, food and water. There's an outhouse onsite and a fire pit with a grill on the beach.
You'll have to scavenge your own wood. The escalating prices are to deter multiday use so more people can enjoy it.
Our independent authors have visited Skater’s Cabin and selected this as one of our recommended accommodation in Cordova.
