Lonely Planet review
The former 26th Street Hostel has undergone a remodel and has a new owner. Conveniently located in the thick of midtown action, it has a coin-op laundry, a kitchen, lockers, luggage storage and bicycle rental ($10 per day). The large, light dorm rooms (including female-only) have two bunk beds, so you're never crowded. Buses stop on Spenard Rd, a block away.
Our independent authors have visited Base Camp Anchorage and selected this as one of our recommended hostels in Anchorage.
