Bear Tooth Theatrepub
Cruise into this very cool venue (check out the mural on the lobby ceiling) where you can enjoy great microbrews, wine or even dinner...
The place for a halibut fix – have it fried or, better, Cajun style – but don’t discount the excellent onion rings or udon noodles.
Lonely Planet review
More than just Anchorage’s favorite meat market, ‘Koots,’ as the locals call it, is a landmark. The sprawling, wooden edifice has 22 beers on tap, 10 bars, four dancefloors and a couple of stages where almost every band touring Alaska ends up. Its newest addition is a replica of the legendary Bird House. The original was a log-cabin bar on Seward Hwy that was still standing but drunkenly slanted after the 1964 earthquake before burning down in 2002.
