My boyfriend (American) and I (South African cursed with the Green Mamba passport) would like to move to the Caribbean for a couple months. My boyfriend, being American is able to get a job without much of a hassle but I on the other hand will need a visa and/or work permit.
Does anyone have any advice or insight on the matter to help our dream adventure come true?
I am really struggling to get the right info on visas etc.
Any help is needed
My friend and I are getting into St. John in late April and will be kayaking across the island over a week.
I know there is camping in Cinnamon bay, however we will only be there for 1-2 nights before moving on. I have a few questions.
Is Vie's campground still open on the east side of the island near Haulover bay?
How easy would it be to get away with setting up an eno hammock on one of the many small Cays to sleep at night? I figure pull up and hide the kayaks, setup hammock at night, no fires…
My girlfriend and I are looking to charter a boat to take to virgin gorda and john van dyke..possibly other stops as well. We have found some great charters who have told us they would be happy to do a shared/open reservation which brings down the cost on some great boats substantially when you are a couple or foursome. The available dates are tuesday march 22 or march 23. Please email me (James) at (removed) if you are interested in a great day on the water.
Hi everyone, my boyfriend and I are traveling to St. Croix at the end of February. We already have a nice little cottage booked on the East End and are now trying to figure out the best way to get there. We're based in NYC and it seems that connecting flights to St Croix via Miami or Atlanta might be the way to go, but it's a longer commute (2.5 - 3.5 hours for each flight)as opposed to flying directly into St. Thomas (4 hours non stop) and then taking a 25 minute seaplane to St. Croix. That…
We will be staying in St. John for 5 nights and then we have to get to Virgin Gorda. What is the best way? Should we just take a ferry to St. Thomas and leave from St. Thomas?
Hi everyone! My boyfriend and I are looking to book a vacation in late February/March to either the USVI or Puerto Rico. I've been to the Bahamas (Eleuthra) and have been wanting to go back there or to St. Lucia, but we are limited to US territories (my boyfriend doesn't have a passport). The main goal for the vacation is to relax and find our own little slice of paradise surrounded by incredibly beautiful, secluded, pristine beaches with crystal blue waters that feel untouched. I also love…
I have not been to St. Thomas since 1980 I stayed at Bluebeards castle. I was wondering if it is still in business? Have things changed since I visited? I hope to return, and I want to have a great place to stay and relax. Any input or suggestions?
When I wanted to plan a trip to the us virgin islands i looked at the lonely planet site but nowhere could I find anything except a chapter from a caribeen book. Therefore it is a big surprice to find a whole book of the virkgin islands in bookshops here in Denmark. How come? I changed my original plans as I could just find this one chapter then.
many greetings Erik Dam
