Getting there & away
The otherwise rundown bus terminal (2737; cnr 18 de Julio & Varela) features a grand piano and rock garden. It’s 10 blocks east of Plaza Constitución. ETA goes to Gualeguaychú (US$4, one hour). CUT (2286) has buses to Mercedes (US$1, 30 minutes) and Montevideo (US$10, 4½ hours). Chadre goes to Bella Unión via Salto and Paysandú, and south to Montevideo.
