Getting there & away
All bus companies are on or near Plaza Independencia. Chadre (2987) goes to Montevideo (US$8, four hours), and north to Fray Bentos, Paysandú and Salto. Turil goes to Colonia (US$2.50, one hour), as do Klüver (3411), Intertur and Berruti. Klüver also goes to Mercedes (US$3, two hours).
Cacciola (3042; Constituyentes s/n) has launches to the Buenos Aires suburb of Tigre (US$11, 3½ hours).
