Hike to Cerro Pan de Azúcar
From the Reserva de Fauna Autóctona, hikers can climb Uruguay's fourth-highest 'peak,' Cerro Pan de Azúcar (389m). The trail (three hours roundtrip) starts as a gradual dirt road, then narrows to a steep path marked with red arrows. Ask for directions at Parador Drago, in the reserve's parking lot.

Fishing
There's good fishing off the rocks at the west end of the beach, where Rambla de los Argentinos becomes Rambla de los Ingleses.
