Lonely Planet review
This is the sister outpost to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, London. It focuses on Falmouth's history as a seafaring port, with varied exhibitions exploring everything from the underwater environment of the Fal Estuary to the town's groundbreaking nautical mail service, the Falmouth Packet.
At the heart of the complex is the Flotilla Gallery , where a collection of important vessels are suspended from the ceiling on steel wires. From the top floor of the Look Out tower, there's a 360-degree panorama right across Falmouth Bay.
