Jains run this super-friendly all-vegan Indian restaurant where the cooking is rich in character even though the chefs shun onion and garlic. Dishes to try include the velvety paneer makhanwala and the rich dal makhani. Do save room for the homemade ice cream from the attached parlour.

    Best birthday celebrations...at govindas creations....

    I had my 11th birthday in Govinda's and its been two years since then and I still go blah blah about this restaurant. I had come from Muscat , a very beautiful place and I was really amazed to see a restaurant with the Indian or rather feel at home atmosphere with waiters so friendly and food so yummy and without onions and garlic for a change was fun!!!
    I was very surprised when the waiter came up to my table ,wished me a very happy birthday and gave me few Govinda gifts!!!!!! It was one of my best birthdays ever in Govinda's but I will also never forget that I lost my camera there and yes that was a sad end to my birhday celebrations but I know that the friendly peope from Govinda's will keep it safe with them if found and we will get it back. Overall this restaurant is simply amazing !!!! still keeping my fingers crossed....that someone will return my olympus camera..
