If your belly’s longing for the taste of Thailand, take it to Lemongrass’ soothing lime-coloured dining room for brightly flavoured cooking and solicitous service. Pad Thai is presented in an omelette wrapper – a nice touch – and curries have marvellous depth of flavour. If you like spicy, say so; the kitchen is shy with the heat. Good for vegetarians.

    Better Thai Restaurants around Town

    The first time we tried this restaurant was about 2 years ago and we found it exception in both service and the quality of food.

    Unfortunately on our next trip we were extremely dissapointed at the service. On being greeted we were shown our table but then it took over 20 mins to get the menu - another 25 minutes before our order was taken By the time our food did arrive which was about 25 mins later we were ravished.

    My order of Pad Thai was well presented in an omlette wrapping but thats about where my pleasure ended. The Pad Thai was extremely sweet and tasted more like a dessert! On questioning this with the server she smiled and responded 'new chef sir'.

    My wife's thai curry was, as requested spicy, and to her approval. To compensate I added some of the thai curry onto my pad thai which make it kind of edible.

    As we were rather annoyed at the service we opted to avoid a starter. The desert list was not very appealing apart from a known brand of ice-cream and canned leeches.

    On a good note the cappucino was excellent. Overall we were extremely dissapointed and apart from not returning would also not recommend it to friends.
