Lonely Planet review for Sumibiya
At the first Japanese yakiniku-style restaurant in Dubai, every stone table has a recessed gas grill where you cook your own meat then pair it with a selection of sauces and condiments. Though the Wagyu beef and seafood run high (Dh100+), the set menus of various meat-and-veggie combos are a relative bargain. There’s nothing romantic about the narrow windowless room, but it’s great interactive fun for families or groups of foodie friends.

Fun of Barbeque indoors...
drummerwild recommends this,
Man what an experience...I had gone here at the recommendation by my friend and hats off to him me and my parents and sis had a great venture at our own first hand grilling on our own table...we ordered for grilled veges, some vege noodles, and grilled fruits....
The waiters smiled and started grill at our own table...which was an experience by itself...and than they bought plate of raw bite sized veges, to be grilled by us...we used to tongs, it was so much fun ....me and my sis grilling and serving our mom pop...than amazing noodles...and to have happy ending fruits served on plate to be lightly grilled by us....and dipped in choclate sauce and strawberry sauce....it was feeling of self satisfaction of job well done. so we started with grilling brocolli, corn, carrot and baby aubegrine...and fruits, ripe red straberries, kiwi, pear and apple....
must try...and you will go again and again...service is great, people help you with a smile...and it is not too expensive too.....
so head there guys....
