Lonely Planet review for Asha’s
Namesake of Bollywood singer Asha Bhosle, Asha’s packs a see-and-be-seen crowd of rich Indian expats into its sexy, low-light, tandoori-orange dining room, with ethnic-fusion dance music playing in the background. The menu focuses on contemporary northwest Indian fare, which translates into such palate-teasers as spicy-ginger-garlic marinated prawns and muscat gosht (tomato-and-butter-braised spicy lamb) – both Asha’s personal recipes. It’s a fabulous place to party; if the tots are tagging along, they’ve even got their own play area.

MELODIOUS MUSIC MAKER MAKES MARVELLOUS FOOD....TRUE...YES...
nypd recommends this,
Well being a big foodie buff, specially only Indian food is my weakness plus I love homecooked food 's taste, these qualities I did find at ASHA 'S a lovely reastuarant at wafi mall. I had heard a lot about Asha's restaurant, so on our 15 th wedding anniversary my hubby surprised me by taking me to Asha's ....I am basically a very very fussy eater. I like dishes simple homely and tasty....and this is the place with right ambience, melodious music and awesome food. we had ordered Muscat gosht and some lachedaar parathaas, prawn biryani and vegetable raita . Yes how can I forget faboulous fried fish..can't get the name now, but fried nice in orange paste. I would be partial to Mucat gosth as I was 11 years in Muscat, as good as my home town and I love Mucat very much....so I was happy this Muscat gosth lived upto my expectations....well inshort memorable dinner, we were so full that no place for sweet dish....one must visit here.....but warning....It is bit on higher side...so I reserve to go there only on special occassions.....cheers.....
