Tall palms sway in the breeze around the outdoor patio at the Ritz-Carlton’s northern Italian restaurant, an ideal spot to hold hands by candlelight. It’s not as formal as you’d expect, given the setting and pricing. In fact, the cooking is more upmarket trattoria style: earthy and rich as in the ravioli alle noci (walnut-and-mascarpone ravioli) and agnello arrosto (pan-roasted lamb loin). The Friday champagne brunch has a constant league of fans.
