Five-star chefs reference this legendary Pakistani cafeteria as their favourite day-off eatery. It ain't fancy - au contraire: expect to share your table with burly men. The kebabs are good, as are the simple curries, biryaniand (especially) fresh-baked bread, best washed down with yoghurt drink. Alas, the meat is tough (think mutton, not lamb): order chicken. No credit cards.

Hi...perfect place to hang out...with plates of kababs and laban up...it is place as good as home...here you are treated as king and sit on your table and rule...rule means order like kilng...relax don't think of bill as it is joint to chill not really money minded joint....forget that...so you have ordered sheekh kabab, boti kabab, kaleji fry,,brain masala...and if that is not enough....biryani , daal fry, veg kurma, mutton kurma, chicken handi....I know your mouth is watering....but yes that is what is special about joint...sit , eat and meet, talk about keeping fit and be hit.....well just tried my brain on rhyming words.... well go ahead...walk to this ravi joint, you probably will find branches at few places, one I am aware of is in Ghusias, and I know it is in Bur Dubai and satwa too...here right from families to taxi drivers can sit and eat....it is joint for one and all.. so go freak over the food....

It is clear to see why this little off-beat restaurant is clearly a hot favourite among both tourists and the locals. The nationalities vary from Asians to Europeans to Arabs to Americans to Far Eastern's which gives it an amazing atmosphere in the evenings. During the day the dining area is open to all but during the evenings a room reserved for families & couples. Also available, during the winter momths, is an outdoor seating area right on the pavement! The service was quick and the food served hot. A special recommendation would be the tandoori items which can be requested medium or spicy, both the chicken and mutton biryani's was fantastic and so were the chicken, mutton and vegetable curries. We also tried a Nihari which is a speciality wherein the meat is cooked in a spicy gravy until it is soft and tender. The vegetable and dal dishes were a bit spicy but delicious and in decent portions. A wide range of paratha, nan's, roti's and stuffed paratha's are available during the entire day. A variety of ice-creams and a traditional 'chai' (tea) is a perfect ending to this extremely enjoyable meal. We tried this restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and each time came away extremely satisfied with the food, service and a bill which was unbelieveably low (considering the cost of living in Dubai).
