Lonely Planet review
The Orchid is popular with Russian and Arab travellers. Rooms are unexceptionally decorated with plain-Jane wood-laminate furniture, and are smaller than at other neighbouring hotels, but service is better here. Rooms are clean, if not immaculate; bar fridges and satellite TV sweeten the deal. Alas, the rooftop pool is t-i-n-y and closes at 6pm but you’ll dig the hotel’s international club scene – African, Arabic and Indian – all with live bands nightly.
Our independent authors have visited Orchid Hotel and selected this as one of our recommended hotels in Deira.
