This well-positioned chain-style hotel near the Clock Tower Roundabout caters mainly to families and business travellers. Rooms are clean and generously proportioned, but determinedly bland in their decor. Thank heavens for the rooftop pool.
The front doors open to a hangar-like lobby with a strange assemblage of chairs that is apparently a cafe. But don't be discouraged. Once upstairs you'll find surprisingly large, well-maintained rooms with generic furniture - think blonde-wood laminate. The bathrooms are clean and tidy, despite a few mildew spots on the tile grout. Dining in the hotel is nothing special, but it's definitely worth popping your head into the two nightclubs, one Arabic, one Indian. The hotel operates shuttles to popular destinations, saving you a taxi fare, though you should plan to walk to explore the nearby back streets of Deira.
