This Abu Dhabi branch of the elegant French chocolatier and patisserie chain, established in 1854, has proven to be popular with Emiratis - the men love to linger and read the paper over lunch, while the wives like to drop in for coffee and petit fours between shops.

    Hediard boasts a sophisticated atmosphere, delicious food and excellent coffee. Casements filled with colorful pastries give the impression of a dainty French cafe, while those with a more hearty appetite may order from the extensive menu.

    The cafe comfortably hosts families and adults alike. The only thing left lacking is the service. While our food came in a timely manner, our server failed to check on our table to see if we needed anything during the meal. In fact, we never saw our server again. At the end of our meal, it was nearly impossible to flag down a server to ask for the check.
