    The desert tour from Abu Dhabi was a dissapointment!

    We visited the evening NETTOURS desert safari program from Abu Dhabi yesterday, the 26th of December with our friends. We have been to other desert safari programs in Dubai earlier.

    I must say that the trip was very disappointing. We persuaded our friends to go from Abu Dhabi and not from Dubai. But we made a big mistake. The desert safari drivers took us for a leisure drive in the desert on the dunes. They drove over the smallest dunes they could find. We did not go on any big dunes. First we thought it was just us, so we asked the other people as well, and none of them enjoyed the dune bashing. It was completely useless. After that, we went to the quad bikes. We were again treated like kids over there and given 5 rounds inside the gated area where there is a straight track with no dunes at all.

    The onsite customer service was good in that he was able to ensure all the guests were comfortable and there were no problems. I told him that the dune bashing was completely useless. However, because the bus driver got lost and the bus reached just 20 minutes before sunset, there was no time to do it again. Further, the drivers for the dune bashing were driving as if they are doing us a favor. There was no smile, no sense of giving someone else a good time, etc. On the contrary, if you asked them something, they pretended as if they know no English at all and wanted us not to ask any more questions.

    Last year, we had a great time at the desert safari, and we expected the same this year. Unfortunately, this year, the experience was so bad that we may never encourage anyone to do the safari from Abu Dhabi again. We will be sure to go to Dubai the next time.
